Itinerary
Ahoy, sailors! Cast off from the historic charm of Trogir and set your compass for Primošten. Midway, drop anchor in one of the inviting coves, like Stari Trogir or Sićenica, for a refreshing swim. As the sun dips, moor in Primošten, a delightful town known for its vineyards and vibrant ambiance. Wander the cobbled streets, savor local Dalmatian delicacies, and perhaps indulge in a glass of the region’s famed Babić wine.
Rise and shine! Today, navigate northward, weaving through the Šibenik archipelago. As you approach the Krka River’s mouth, prepare for a scenic river sail up to the charming town of Skradin. This picturesque spot, where the river kisses the sea, is your gateway to the breathtaking Krka National Park. Once moored, take a leisurely stroll through Skradin’s quaint streets and perhaps sample some local specialties.
After a hearty breakfast, venture into Krka National Park to marvel at its cascading waterfalls and lush landscapes. Post-exploration, set sail downstream and chart a course for Vodice. This lively coastal town boasts bustling marinas, vibrant nightlife, and many dining options. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, mingle with fellow sailors, and share tales of the day’s adventures.
Bid adieu to Vodice and set sail for the serene Kaprije Island. Named after the caper plant, this tranquil isle offers crystal-clear waters and secluded bays perfect for swimming and snorkeling. With minimal cars and a laid-back vibe, Kaprije is an ideal spot to relax, savor fresh seafood at a local konoba (tavern), and enjoy the star-studded night sky.
Today’s journey is a short hop to the rugged beauty of Žirje Island. As the most remote of the Šibenik archipelago, Žirje offers unspoiled landscapes, hidden coves, and rich marine life. Spend the day exploring the island’s hiking trails, snorkeling in its pristine waters, and perhaps visiting the remnants of ancient fortresses that whisper tales of bygone eras.
Hoist the sails early and chart a course towards the picturesque village of Maslinica on Šolta Island. En route, relish the open sea’s expanse and perhaps spot playful dolphins dancing in your wake. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by Maslinica’s charming harbor, lined with colorful facades and overlooked by a historic castle. Treat yourself to local olive oils, fresh seafood, and the island’s signature Dobričić wine.
On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before making the short sail back to Trogir. Take in the stunning coastal views, and as you approach Trogir’s marina, reflect on the week’s adventures. Once docked, there’s time to explore any sights you might have missed, pick up souvenirs, or relax in a café, soaking up the vibrant atmosphere of this UNESCO World Heritage town.

FAQs
No sailing experience is necessary! Your participation level can be tailored to your desires. You might be called upon to do something easy, but you’ll always get thorough and safe instruction first. We believe that handling the lines and contributing to the sailing is part of the adventure and will increase your enjoyment of the trip. However, if you want an entirely hands-off experience for the entire week, the skipper can do most things without assistance.
Catamarans, with their two hulls, are more stable. This makes them the choice if anyone has less than steller sea legs. They are wider (and therefore often more spacious) in the bedrooms, kitchen, and on deck.
Most first-time sailors will enjoy the hotel-like accommodation of a cat, and if your group has more than five guests, a catamaran is almost certainly the way to go.
Monohulls, also known as classic sailboats, perform better while sailing, so you can spend more of the trip with the engines turned off. They are less stable both while underway and potentially at anchor. Many people find the occasional leaning over of the boat in a fresh breeze to give a fantastic feeling. Being less wide, they are likelier to score a spot in a popular marina during high season. Monohulls are also where you often find the best bang for your buck, especially if your group is five or fewer.
If you’re looking for a more hands-on, authentic, classic-feeling sailing adventure, a monohull can be a fantastic choice, and the modern designs are built to be more spacious than ever before
Week-long charters typically run from Saturday to Saturday in the charter sailing industry. The check-in process with the owner usually starts at 3 pm-4 pm, and we are allowed to push off the dock between 4 pm-5 pm. Usually, we must return to the dock by 5 pm the following Friday to do some preliminary checkout, and then we must disembark by 9 am the following Saturday. This is because the company needs time to clean and repair the boat for the next group. This technically makes the trip a 6.5-7 day one, depending on how you look. Assume this timeline unless specified otherwise!
